Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.- Representativos de las Federaciones Nacionales de Kurash de México y Republica Dominicana verán acción en dos (2) eventos internacionales de la disciplina al más alto nivel.
Los deportistas seleccionados lograron sus clasificaciones en los pasados Campeonatos Panamericanos de la ancestral disciplina de origen uzbeco realizados en Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana el pasado 6 de julio 2024 donde vieron acción atletas de varios países de toda América.
Las clasificadas por Republica Dominicana fueron Darienly Marialis Contreras en los 52 kilogramos, Juana María Morban Peguero y Melanyi Adames Berroa en los 63 kilogramos, por otro lado, Aracelis Sosa Santana en los 78 kilogramos y para completar la nómina Audrey Arelis Puello Pérez en más de 78 kilogramos.
Por otro lado en la rama masculina Luis Gabriel Castro Delance, Daniel Santos Almonte y Tomas Belén Santana en 66, 73 y 81 kilogramos respectivamente.
Además, Yan Carlos Amador, Carlos Daniel Arias Guzmán en 90 y 100 kilogramos, respectivamente, así mismo, Juan Alberto Olmos Moreno y José Raymond Jiménez, ambos en más de 100 kilogramos.
Por México tendremos a Andrea, Guillen y Issac Vázquez Yanez en las divisiones de peso 78 y 90 kilogramos en femenino y masculino, respectivamente, quienes estarán compitiendo en ambos certámenes atléticos.
La delegación en cuestión irá acompañada por dos entrenadores, uno en la rama femenina y otro en la masculina, contando con un arbitro invitado por la International Kurash Association y así completar la nomina de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash (UPK).
Los eventos competitivos serán realizados en la ciudad de Termiz del 14 al 20 de octubre del presente año y corresponden a la Gran Final del World Series Pro 2024 y al XVII Torneo Internacional en memoria de Al-Hakim at Termizi, los que son en opción a los premios del presidente de la Republica de Uzbekistán el señor Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Ambas competiciones tendrán premios en metálico de 10, 5 y mil dólares en primer, segundo y tercer lugar, respectivamente, en el World Series Pro y de 20, 10 y 5 mil dólares el campeón, subcampeón y tercer lugar, sucesivamente, en la división de la categoría abierta del Torneo Internacional de la ciudad de Termiz, también tendremos premios para los quinto y séptimo lugar con 750 y 500 dólares, respectivamente.
Los seleccionados viajan con los gastos de pasaje aéreo, alojamiento, alimentación y transporte interno cubiertos por los organizadores del certamen atlético donde competirán atletas de Asia, Europa, África, América y Oceanía.
La organización de las justas competitivas están a cargo de la International Kurash Association (IKA), Ministerio de Deportes de Uzbekistán, Gobierno de la Región de Surkhandaryo y la Federación de Kurash de Uzbekistán.
Los miembros directivos de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash encabezados por Jaime Casanova Martínez (Republica Dominicana), Elizabeth Thompson (Chile) y Julián Abreu Jiménez (Estados Unidos) en sus condiciones de presidente, vicepresidente y secretario, respectivamente, están laborando intensamente para lograr una exitosa participación de la delegación panamericana a las justas mundialistas.
Así mismo, Luis Bogantes (Costa Rica), Alquimedes Ortiz (Republica Dominicana) y Ulrick Louis-Charles (Haiti), quienes son directores técnicos de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash en tecnología, arbitraje y grados, respectivamente.

The selected athletes achieved their classifications in the last Panamerican Championships of the ancestral discipline of Uzbek origin held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on July 6, 2024 where athletes from several countries throughout America saw action.
Those classified by the Dominican Republic were Darienly Marialis Contreras in the 52 kilograms, Juana María Morban Peguero and Melanyi Adames Berroa in the 63 kilograms, on the other hand, Aracelis Sosa Santana in the 78 kilograms and to complete the list Audrey Arelis Puello Pérez in more than 78 kilograms.
On the other hand, in the men’s branch Luis Gabriel Castro Delance, Daniel Santos Almonte and Tomas Belén Santana in 66, 73 and 81 kilograms respectively.

The competitive events will be held in the city of Termiz from October 14 to 20 of this year and correspond to the Grand Final of the World Series Pro 2024 and the XVII International Tournament in memory of Al-Hakim at Termizi, which are in option to the awards of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Both competitions will have cash prizes of 10, 5 and 1,000 dollars in first, second and third place, respectively, in the World Series Pro and 20, 10 and 5 thousand dollars for the champion, second and third place, successively, in the open category division of the International Tournament of the city of Termiz, we will also have prizes for the fifth and seventh places with 750 and 500 dollars, respectively.
The selected ones travel with the expenses of airfare, accommodation, food and internal transportation covered by the organizers of the athletic contest where athletes from Asia, Europe, Africa, America and Oceania will compete.
The organization of the competitive events is in charge of the International Kurash Association (IKA), the Ministry of Sports of Uzbekistan, the Government of the Surkhandaryo Region and the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan.
The board members of the Panamerican Kurash Union headed by Jaime Casanova Martínez (Dominican Republic), Elizabeth Thompson (Chile) and Julián Abreu Jiménez (United States) in their capacities as president, vice president and secretary, respectively, are working intensively to achieve a successful participation of the Panamerican delegation to the World Games.
Likewise, Luis Bogantes (Costa Rica), Alquimedes Ortiz (Dominican Republic) and Ulrick Louis-Charles (Haiti), who are technical directors of the Panamerican Kurash Union in technology, refereeing and grades, respectively.
