Lima, Perú.- Del 4 al 6 de diciembre 2026 está prevista la realización del I Campeonato Panamericano Policial, femenino y masculino con la organización a de la Federación Deportiva Peruana de Policías y Bomberos (FEDEPOL) y la Asociación Peruana de Kurash con el aval de la Union Panamericana de la ancestral disciplina cuyo origen en la Republica de Uzbekistán y que recibe el nombre de la Madre de todas las Artes Marciales.
El evento en cuestión se realizará en la Villa Deportiva Nacional (VIDENA) compitiendo en las categorías femeninas de 48, 52, 57, 63, 70, 78, 87 y más de 87 kilogramos y en 60, 66, 73, 81, 90, 100, 120 y más de 120 kilogramos en la rama masculina con un máximo de tres (3) atletas por cada país participante en cada categoría de peso.
Las inscripciones serán realizadas por las respectivas Federaciones Nacionales en mayores de 18 años para lo que la dirección de tecnología de la Union Panamericana de Kurash suministrará el correspondiente link que será cerrado el 4 de diciembre a las 10 de la mañana, hora de Perú.
Los Campeonatos Panamericanos de Kurash se regirán por las normas de la Asociación Internacional de Kurash (IKA) las que han sido adoptadas por la Union Panamericana de Kurash y sus Federaciones Nacionales afiliadas.
La convocatoria ha sido circulada a México, Estados Unidos, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Honduras, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Haití, Panamá, Republica Dominicana, Chile y Brasil, entre otros, informa debidamente sobre la utilización de los uniformes (Yakhtak), seguro médico, distintivos de la espalda de los uniformes por país, condiciones económicas de la participación, cobertura del Comité Organizador en su estadía para las delegaciones participantes, asistencia del arbitraje, pruebas de dopaje, entre otros importantes renglones.
El presidente de la Federación Deportiva Peruana de Policías y Bomberos, Shian Cornejo Navarro, al presentar las bases de participación en el evento continental indico que existe un gran entusiasmo para la realización de este I Campeonato Panamericano de Kurash Policial.
El Comité Ejecutivo de la Union Panamericana de Kurash y sus respectivas direcciones técnicas de arbitraje, tecnología y sistema de grados trabajan en coordinación con el Comité Organizador para el pleno éxito del certamen atlético.

Lima, Peru.– The first Panamerican Police Championship, for both men and women, is scheduled to take place from December 4th to 6th, 2026. It is organized by the Peruvian Sports Federation of Police and Firefighters (FEDEPOL) and the Peruvian Kurash Association, with the endorsement of the Panamerican Union of this ancient discipline, which originated in the Republic of Uzbekistan and is known as the Mother of all Martial Arts.
The event will be held at the National Sports Village (VIDENA), with competition in the following weight categories for women: 48, 52, 57, 63, 70, 78, 87, and over 87 kilograms; and 60, 66, 73, 81, 90, 100, 120, and over 120 kilograms for men. Each participating country will have a maximum of three (3) athletes in each weight category.
Registrations will be handled by the respective National Federations for participants over 18 years of age. The Pan American Kurash Union’s technology department will provide the corresponding link, which will close on December 4th at 10:00 AM, Peru time.
The Panamerican Kurash Championships will be governed by the rules of the International Kurash Association (IKA), which have been adopted by the Panamerican Kurash Union and its affiliated National Federations.
The invitation has been circulated to Mexico, the United States, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Honduras, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Haiti, Panama, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Chile, and Brazil, among others. It includes detailed information regarding the use of uniforms (Yakhtak), medical insurance, country-specific badges on the back of the uniforms, financial requirements for participation, coverage provided by the Organizing Committee for participating delegations’ stay, referee assistance, doping controls, and other important aspects. The president of the Peruvian Sports Federation of Police and Firefighters, Shian Cornejo Navarro, stated that there is great enthusiasm for the first Pan American Police Kurash Championship, when presenting the participation guidelines for the continental event.
The Executive Committee of the Panamerican Kurash Union and its respective technical departments for refereeing, technology, and the grading system are working in coordination with the Organizing Committee to ensure the complete success of the athletic competition.
