*Ahead of the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games, international Kurash specialists will assemble in Santo Domingo*
As part of the preparations for the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games, the International Kurash Institute (IKI), in cooperation with the International Kurash Association (IKA) and the Pan-American Kurash Union (PKU), will organise the International Kurash Coaching and Refereeing Seminar in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from 30 July to 3 August 2026.
The seminar will be held alongside the Pan-American Kurash Championships for cadets, juniors, seniors, and both men’s and women’s divisions, bringing together coaches, referees, and Kurash specialists from across the Pan-American region.
️During the five-day educational programme, participants will enhance their knowledge and practical skills in accordance with the latest international refereeing standards, modern coaching methodologies, Kurash techniques, and best practices in competition organisation. Both theoretical and practical sessions will be conducted by highly qualified international experts with extensive experience in the sport.
The seminar is particularly significant as it will be held ahead of the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games. Kurash has been included in the programme of these prestigious multi-sport Games as a demonstration sport, marking an important step towards the further development of Kurash across the American continent and the strengthening of its international prestige.

🇩🇴Como parte de los preparativos para los XXV Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, el Instituto Internacional de Kurash (IKI), en colaboración con la Asociación Internacional de Kurash (IKA) y la Unión Panamericana de Kurash (PKU), organizará el Seminario Internacional de Entrenamiento y Arbitraje de Kurash en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, del 30 de julio al 3 de agosto de 2026.
📚El seminario se llevará a cabo paralelamente al Campeonato Panamericano de Kurash para cadetes, juveniles, adultos y las divisiones masculina y femenina, reuniendo a entrenadores, árbitros y especialistas de Kurash de toda la región panamericana.
⚡️Durante el programa educativo de cinco días, los participantes perfeccionarán sus conocimientos y habilidades prácticas de acuerdo con los últimos estándares internacionales de arbitraje, metodologías de entrenamiento modernas, técnicas de Kurash y mejores prácticas en la organización de competiciones. Las sesiones teóricas y prácticas serán impartidas por expertos internacionales altamente cualificados con amplia experiencia en este deporte.
