Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.- Today, a press conference was held at the Sport Hotel in Ashgabat before the 14th World Senior Kurash Championship.

Members of the organizing committee of the World Championship, President of the International Kurash Association Haider Farman, General Secretary of IKA Mohammad Reza Nassiri, representatives of local and international media took part in the conference.

The General Secretary of the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan Ata Ataev opened the conference with a report on preparations for the championship.

In fact, the World Cup is held on the basis of very high standards in terms of organization. More than 300 volunteers, about 500 doctors, drivers, security personnel were involved in it. To date, about 500 participants from all continents of the world have arrived in Ashgabat.

After that, the President of IKA spoke and expressed his sincere gratitude to the organizers and personally to the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimukhamedov, on behalf of the World Kurash family.

Further, he went on with a speech that in recent years Turkmenistan has been developing steadily in all fields, especially in the field of sport.

Moreover, in 2017, Ashgabat hosted very large sports games. The 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games have been organized at the highest level.

He said he hoped the media coverage of the World Kurash Championships would be as high as it was organized.

IKA expressed readiness to cooperate with all mass media and sports journalists in promoting Kurash competitions on a large scale.

Annasehat Kakayev, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of State Television, Radio and Cinematography of Turkmenistan, took his chance to express his opinion at the meeting.

Mr. Kakaev announced that the large-scale coverage of the 14th World Senior Kurash Championship began in August of this year. To date, about 10,000 news, messages and TV shows have been published in local and foreign mass media.

The championship will be widely covered on 11 TV channels of the country.

The opening ceremony and the competition will be broadcast live on Sport and Youth TV channels. Live broadcasts are distributed in about 40 countries through the “Turkmen Hemrasy” satellite system.

Agreements have also been reached on the broadcasting of Kurash matches on Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), Varzish (Tajikistan), and Sport (Uzbekistan) TV channels.

In addition, the correspondents of Euronews, MIR24, AIPS, AVN, TRT, CCTV and other world’s most influential news agencies have been accredited and are participating in the coverage of the championship.

During the press conference, General Secretary of IKA Muhammad Reza Nassiri emphasized that the coverage of sports competitions is important not only for the viewers of that sport, but also for the further development of it.

He expressed his gratitude to all media representatives who are active in covering the XIV World Senior Kurash Championship.

He also announced that this Championship is to broadcast live on the Youtube platform with the help of Turkmen TV and radio channels. He said that it will be very interesting for the national federations that are not able to participate in the championship.

El Campeonato Mundial Senior de Kurash organizado en Ashgabat se retransmitirá en unos 40 países

Ashgabat, Turkmenistán.- Hoy se celebró una conferencia de prensa en el Sport Hotel de Ashgabat antes del 14º Campeonato Mundial Senior de Kurash.

En la conferencia participaron miembros del comité organizador del Campeonato Mundial, el presidente de la Asociación Internacional Kurash, Haider Farman, el secretario general de IKA, Mohammad Reza Nassiri, y representantes de los medios de comunicación locales e internacionales.

El Secretario General del Comité Olímpico Nacional de Turkmenistán, Ata Ataev, inauguró la conferencia con un informe sobre los preparativos para el campeonato.

De hecho, la Copa del Mundo se celebra sobre la base de estándares muy altos en términos de organización. En él participaron más de 300 voluntarios, unos 500 médicos, conductores y personal de seguridad. Hasta la fecha han llegado a Ashgabat unos 500 participantes de todos los continentes del mundo.

Posteriormente habló el presidente de IKA y expresó su más sincero agradecimiento a los organizadores y personalmente al presidente de la República de Turkmenistán, Serdar Berdimukhamedov, en nombre de la familia World Kurash.

También se han alcanzado acuerdos sobre la retransmisión de los partidos de Kurash en los canales de televisión Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), Varzish (Tayikistán) y Sport (Uzbekistán).

Además, los corresponsales de Euronews, MIR24, AIPS, AVN, TRT, CCTV y otras agencias de noticias más influyentes del mundo están acreditados y participan en la cobertura del campeonato.

Durante la conferencia de prensa, el secretario general de la IKA, Muhammad Reza Nassiri, enfatizó que la cobertura de las competiciones deportivas es importante no sólo para los espectadores de ese deporte, sino también para su desarrollo futuro.

Expresó su agradecimiento a todos los representantes de los medios de comunicación que cubren activamente el XIV Campeonato Mundial Senior de Kurash.

También anunció que este campeonato se transmitirá en vivo en la plataforma Youtube con la ayuda de los canales de radio y televisión turcomanos. Dijo que será muy interesante para las federaciones nacionales que no puedan participar en el campeonato.
