IKA provides a 2023 summary

Tashkent, Uzbekistan.- Summarizing the previous year, analyzing work activities, making plans, and preparing a solid foundation for the upcoming year has become a good tradition. Each year has its achievements and accomplishments, which serve as a crucial foundation for the development of our beloved Kurash.
The year 2023 will undoubtedly remain in the history of Kurash, bringing many accomplishments.
During the year, a lot of kurash events were organized. Continental championships, international tournaments, and seminars were held.
In April, in cooperation with the International Anti-Doping Agency, 5-week online seminars on the program of the principle of clean sport were arranged.
Referees, coaches, athletes, and medical staff officials from more than 100 national Kurash federations participated in the seminar.
Asian Senior Kurash Championship and KCAO Congress took place in Hangzhou, China, on April 24-29.
Around 400 participants representing 23 Asian continent countries attended the championship.
On June 30, a presentation competition was held for the first time as part of the European Games held in Poland.
The African Championship was organized in Cairo, Egypt, on July 6-11. The best athletes from 16 African countries competed on the gilam for the continental championship.
On July 1-14, the first international Kurash training camp was held in the Issyk-Kul Valley of Kyrgyzstan. Over 100 athletes from 5 countries shared their experiences.
On July 24, in Paris, France, the traditional international Kurash tournament for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced the winners. There were contested strongest athletes from European, African, and Asian countries.
On August 22-29, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic hosted the Pan American Kurash Championships.
The 19th Asian Summer Games were held in Hangzhou, China, from September 28 to October 3. As part of this prestigious sports holiday, recognized as the Asian Olympics, Kurash competitions were organized in 7 weight categories.
On October 15-17, the European Championship in Kurash among adults, youth, and teenagers was held in Thessaloniki, Greece.
About 200 of the best athletes from 20 European nations competed on the gilam for victory.
November 4-5, Sochi, Russian Federation, hosted the Sochi International Kurash Tournament. The international tournament in Sochi included teams from Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, and India.
The World Series Pro international tournament for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which was included in the IKA calendar, held qualifying stages on all continents of the world throughout the year.
The 56 strongest athletes who placed 1-2 places in their category received a ticket to the final round.
On November 22, the final stage was held in Tashkent, the capital of the Kurash homeland.
Athletes who won in each weight category were awarded the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Prize in the amount of 10,000 US dollars.
On November 24-29, the XIV World Senior Kurash Championship was held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
At the championship, there were over 500 participants representing about 60 different countries.
The 56 strongest athletes who placed 1-2 places in their category received a ticket to the final round.
Thanks to the personal support of the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan, the World Championship was organized at the highest level.
International seminars and exams for Kurash coaches and referees also took place in Tashkent, Hangzhou, Cairo, Dubai, Santo Domingo, Saloniki, Saharanpur, and Ashgabat throughout the year.
Furthermore, about 30 different kinds of meetings, and online and offline conferences were held by the IKA President and administration. Several agreements were reached on actively pursuing the popularization of Kurash, the improvement of the quantity and quality of future competitions, and the inclusion of internationally prestigious games programs.
All kurash events that took place throughout the year were widely covered in roughly 1000 mass media of more than 100 countries in cooperation with the International Kurash Association, the Olympic Council of Asia, and the host countries. Kurash matches were broadcast live on the world’s most prestigious television and radio channels. More than 1 million posts of different varieties such as photos, videos, and multimedia products were published on internet publications and social media networks.

Tashkent, Uzbekistán.- Se ha convertido en una buena tradición resumir el año pasado, analizar las actividades laborales, hacer planes y preparar una base sólida para el próximo año. Cada año tiene sus logros y realizaciones, que sirven como base crucial para el desarrollo de nuestro querido Kurash.
El año 2023 sin duda quedará en la historia de Kurash y traerá muchos logros.
Durante el año se organizaron muchos eventos kurash. Se llevaron a cabo campeonatos continentales, torneos internacionales y seminarios.
En abril, en cooperación con la Agencia Internacional Antidopaje, se organizaron seminarios en línea de cinco semanas de duración sobre el programa del principio de deporte limpio.
En el seminario participaron árbitros, entrenadores, atletas y funcionarios del personal médico de más de 100 federaciones nacionales de Kurash.
El Campeonato Asiático de Kurash Senior y el Congreso de la KCAO se llevaron a cabo en Hangzhou, China, del 24 al 29 de abril.
Al campeonato asistieron alrededor de 400 participantes en representación de 23 países del continente asiático.
El 30 de junio se celebró por primera vez un concurso de presentación en el marco de los Juegos Europeos celebrados en Polonia.
El Campeonato Africano se organizó en El Cairo, Egipto, del 6 al 11 de julio. Los mejores atletas de 16 países africanos compitieron en el gilam por el campeonato continental.
Del 1 al 14 de julio se celebró el primer campo de entrenamiento internacional de Kurash en el valle de Issyk-Kul en Kirguistán. Más de 100 atletas de 5 países compartieron sus experiencias.
El 24 de julio, en París, Francia, se anunció a los ganadores del tradicional Torneo Internacional de Kurash por el Premio Presidente de la República de Uzbekistán. Participaron los atletas más fuertes de países europeos, africanos y asiáticos.
Del 22 al 29 de agosto, Santo Domingo, República Dominicana fue sede del Campeonato Panamericano de Kurash.
Los XIX Juegos Asiáticos de Verano se celebraron en Hangzhou, China, del 28 de septiembre al 3 de octubre. Como parte de esta prestigiosa fiesta deportiva, reconocida como los Juegos Olímpicos Asiáticos, se organizaron competiciones de Kurash en 7 categorías de peso.
Del 15 al 17 de octubre se celebró en Salónica, Grecia, el Campeonato de Europa de Kurash entre adultos, jóvenes y adolescentes.
Alrededor de 200 de los mejores atletas de 20 países europeos compitieron en el gilam por la victoria.
Del 4 al 5 de noviembre, Sochi, Federación Rusa, fue sede del Torneo Internacional Kurash de Sochi. En el torneo internacional de Sochi participaron equipos de Irán, Tayikistán, Uzbekistán, Rusia e India.

Gracias al apoyo personal del Presidente de la República de Turkmenistán, el Campeonato Mundial se organizó al más alto nivel.
A lo largo del año también se llevaron a cabo seminarios y exámenes internacionales para entrenadores y árbitros de Kurash en Tashkent, Hangzhou, El Cairo, Dubai, Santo Domingo, Salónica, Saharanpur y Ashgabat.
Además, el presidente y la administración de IKA celebraron alrededor de 30 tipos diferentes de reuniones y conferencias en línea y fuera de línea. Se alcanzaron varios acuerdos para promover activamente la popularización del Kurash, mejorar la cantidad y calidad de las competiciones futuras y la inclusión de programas de juegos de prestigio internacional.
