Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.- La presentación de la marca de los XXV Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe fue efectuada este jueves 8 de febrero 2024 en el Salom A del Centro de Convenciones del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores en esta ciudad Primada de América.
A la misma asistió el ingeniero Jaime Casanova Martínez en su condición de presidente de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash (UPK) por invitación del licenciado Luis Rafael Mejía Oviedo quien es presidente de Centro Caribe Sport, entidad de otorgo la sede a la ciudad de Santo Domingo para la realización de los XXV Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe 2026.
La presencia del presidente de la Republica Dominicana el licenciado Luis Rafael Abinader Corona dio prestancia al acto que conto con la presencia de varios Ministros del tren gubernamental, miembros del Comité Ejecutivo del Comité Olímpico Dominicano, Comité Organizador, Presidentes de Federaciones Nacionales, atletas medallistas olímpicos, diferentes personalidades de la vida social dominicana, entre otros.
La excelente conducción de la velada hizo amena la presentación y fueron quienes introdujeron en la palabra al presidente del Comité Olímpico Dominicano (COD) el ingeniero Garibaldy Bautista; la Alcaldesa del Distrito Nacional como ciudad anfitriona, Carolina Mejía; Luis Rafael Mejía Oviedo, presidente de Caribe Sport y a José Monegro, presidente del Comité Organizador de los XXV Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe 2026.
José Monegro, presidente del comité organizador, destacó que la máxima dirección del país ha ordenado la reparación de las instalaciones heredadas de los Juegos Panamericanos de 2003, así como la adecuación del paisaje urbano en los alrededores del Centro Olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte y el Parque del Este de la ciudad capital.
Luis Mejía Oviedo, presidente de Centro Caribe Sport dijo que está convencido que los dominicanos no fallarán con la misión que han asumido en montar la edición XXV de los Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe.
“Sé que República Dominicana cumplirá”, expresó Mejía Oviedo durante su intervención en la presentación de la línea gráfica de Santo Domingo 2026.
El logotipo oficial presentado cuyo diseño grafico fue creado por Silvia Molina, especialista en gestión de marca, identificándonos y explorando el simbolismo de Republica Dominicana como país turístico y como paso firme en la organización de los juegos regionales mas antiguos del mundo.,
Esta es la tercera vez que Republica Dominicana presentara estos juegos ya que lo hizo en la XII Versión Santo Domingo 1974 y XV Versión Santiago 1986 considerados conjuntamente con los XIII Juegos Panamericanos Santo Domingo 2003 como los grandes eventos siendo, sin lugar a dudas, verdaderos puntales del desarrollo deportivo dominicano con amplio apoyo del Gobierno Central y el Comité Olímpico Dominicano.

The presence of the president of the Dominican Republic, Mr. Luis Rafael Abinader Corona, gave prominence to the event that was attended by several Ministers of the government train, members of the Executive Committee of the Dominican Olympic Committee, Organizing Committee, Presidents of National Federations, Olympic medalist athletes , different personalities of Dominican social life, among others.

José Monegro, president of the organizing committee, highlighted that the country’s highest leadership has ordered the repair of the facilities inherited from the 2003 Paamerican Games, as well as the adaptation of the urban landscape around the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center and the Parque del East of the capital city.
Luis Mejía Oviedo, president of Centro Caribe Sport, said that he is convinced that the Dominicans will not fail with the mission they have assumed in organizing the XXV edition of the Central American and Caribbean Games.
“I know that the Dominican Republic will comply,” said Mejía Oviedo during his intervention at the presentation of the graphic line of Santo Domingo 2026.
The official logo presented, whose graphic design was created by Silvia Molina, brand management specialist, identifying and exploring the symbolism of the Dominican Republic as a tourist country and as a firm step in the organization of the oldest regional games in the world.
This is the third time that the Dominican Republic will present these games since it did so in the XII Version Santo Domingo 1974 and XV Version Santiago 1986, considered together with the of Dominican sports development with broad support from the Central Government and the Dominican Olympic Committee.
