KURASH AMERICA CON UN AÑO EXCEPCIONAL
Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.- Al pasar balance de las actividades realizadas por los países que componen la Unión Panamericana de Kurash tendremos que calificar las mismas dentro de la excelencia deportiva por la celebración de cursos y seminarios de capacitación, campeonatos, concursos de pintura y la captación de nuevos afiliados de esta diciplina que es sumamente popular en toda el Asia Central y que tiene una amplia expansión a nivel mundial.
Y es que el Comité Ejecutivo de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash notifico el 11 de febrero de la designación de los directores de arbitraje, de grados y tecnología recayendo estos nombramientos en Alquimedes Ortiz de la Republica Dominicana, Ulrick Louis-Charles (Haiti) y Luis Bogantes (Costa Rica), respectivamente, con lo que se afianzan las labores técnicas de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash de este deporte oriundo de la República de Uzbekistán.
Así, el 8 de marzo, Dia Internacional de la Mujer y el 6 de abril como Dia Internacional del Deporte para el Desarrollo y la Paz , fueron fechas internacionales en las que los países de América, miembros de la UPK, participaron con diferentes actividades introduciéndose en el quehacer deportivo internacional.
El 30 de marzo en Mumbai, India fue realizada la reunión del Comité Ejecutivo de la International Kurash Association donde participó el presidente de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash, Jaime Casanova, en su condición de vicepresidente de la entidad internacional que gobierna esta ancestral disciplina y donde se trataron diferentes temas de relevancia para el desarrollo del kurash a nivel mundial
Del 3 al 9 de junio se desarrolló en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana la Semana 
Panamericana del Kurash con el Torneo Internacional de Playa, la Copa Internacional de Kurash y los Cursos de arbitraje, grados y entrenamientos con la participación de varios países del área panamericana
En el marco de las actividades de la Semana Panamericana de Kurash se le dio el reconocimiento como nuevo integrante a la Federación Ecuatoriana de Kurash la que está presidida por el dirigente Cesar Naranjo y demás miembros que le acompañan en el Comité Ejecutivo.
También en el marco de las actividades de la Semana Internacional del Kurash fueron anunciados los ganadores del Concurso de Pintura con el Tema Kurash logrando los primeros lugares Isadora Talavera (Chile) de 5 a 8 años; Agustina Santiago, Chile en 9 a 14 años y Ann Twacy Reberte Justin (Haití) en más de 15 años en la actividad que dirigió el arquitecto Juan Barceló unificando el deporte y la cultura como ha sido la tradición desde tiempos inmemorables.
Las Federaciones Nacionales de Chile, Ecuador, Uruguay, Bolivia, Venezuela, Colombia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Estados Unidos, Haití y República Dominicana, entre otras, se mantuvieron realizando sus propias actividades nacionales durante todo el año con competiciones, cursos, expansión con nuevos clubes en sus respectivos territorios y la captación de practicantes.
El 6 de septiembre celebramos el Dia Mundial del Kurash en su 24 Aniversario con diferentes actividades en toda panamérica por lo que fuimos felicitados por el presidente de la International Kurash Asocciation (IKA) el señor Haider Farman.
Del 23 al 28 de noviembre fue realizado en Mumbai, India los Campeonatos Mundiales Senior en femenino y masculino y donde la Unión Panamericana de Kurash estuvo representada como ha sido una verdadera tradición.
Las actividades concluyeron del 8 al 15 de diciembre cuando se realizaron en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana los Seminarios Internacionales de Arbitraje , los Campeonatos Panamericanos de Kurash, el Torneo Internacional de Playa y el Seminario de Entrenamiento con la participación de los exponentes de Chile, Uruguay, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Colombia, República Dominicana y Haití, entre otros.
Estas actividades tuvieron el apoyo de la International Kurash Association con su presidente, Haider Farman, y el secretario general el señor Reza Nassiri con verdadera atención al desarrollo del programa previamente establecido.
Para la ocasión recibimos la visita del señor Habibulla Tadjiev quien es el presidente del International Kurash Institute (IKI) entidad encargada de la capitación de esta disciplina a nivel mundial quien estuvo acompañado por Sagdullaev Akhadjon y el experto técnico de la IKI Olimjon Ravshanov.

KURASH AMERICA WITH AN EXCEPTIONAL YEAR

From the 3rd to the 9th of June, the Panamerican Kurash Week took place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic with the International Beach Tournament, the International Kurash Cup and the Arbitration Courses, Degrees and Trainings with the participation of several countries in the Panamerican area
Within the framework of the activities of the Panamerican Kurash Week, he was recognized as a new member of the Ecuatorian Kurash Federation, which is presided over by the leader Cesar Naranjo and other members who accompany him on the Executive Committee.
Also within the framework of the activities of the Panamerican Kurash Week, the winners of the Painting Contest with the Theme Kurash were announced, achieving the first places Isadora Talavera (Chile) from 5 to 8 years old; Agustina Santiago, Chile in 9 to 14 years and Ann Twacy Reberte Justin (Haití) in more than 15 years in the activity that led the architect Juan Barceló unifying the sport and the culture as it has been the tradition since time immemorial.
The National Federations of Chile, Ecuador, Uruguay, Bolivia, Venezuela, Colombia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, United States, Haiti and the Dominican Republic, among others, continued to carry out their own national activities throughout the year with competitions, courses, expansion with new clubs in their respective territories and the recruitment of practitioners.
On September 6 we celebrated World Kurash Day in its 24th Anniversary with different activities throughout Panamerica, for which we were congratulated by the president of the International Kurash Association (IKA), Mr. Haider Farman.
From November 23 to 28, the Senior World Championships for women and men were held in Mumbai, India, where the Kurash Pan-American Union was represented as has been a true tradition.
The activities concluded from the 8th to the 15th of December when they took place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic the International Refereeing Seminars, the Pan American Championships of Kurash, the International Beach Tournament and the Training Seminar with the participation of the exponents of Chile, Uruguay , Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, Haiti, Dominican Republic and Haiti, among others.
These activities were supported by the International Kurash Association with its president, Haider Farman, and the general secretary, Señor Reza Nassiri, with real attention to the development of the previously established program.
For the occasion, we received the visit of Mr. Habibulla Tadjiev who is the president of the International Kurash Institute (IKI) the entity in charge of captaining this discipline worldwide who was accompanied by Sagdullaev Akhadjon and the technical expert of the IKI Olimjon Ravshanov.
Kurash’s Executive Committee of the Panamerican Kurash Union completes Elizabeth Thompson of Chile as vice-president and Julián Abreu Jiménez, secretary general of the 
United States of North America.
