*Preparations for the 1st CISM World Military Kurash Challenge Discussed*
Tashkent, Uzbekistan.- A meeting dedicated to the preparation for the 1st CISM World Military Kurash Challenge, which will take place in September 2026 in Tashkent, was held at the headquarters of the International Kurash Association.
The meeting was attended by Muhammad Reza Nassiri, General Secretary of the International Kurash Association; Mansur Mamadaminov, Head of the Sports department at the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Bakhtiyor Kadirov, First Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan Kurash Federation; and Sardorbek Karimov, Assistant to the Chairman.
It was particularly emphasized during the meeting that this prestigious competition is being organized for the first time in the history of Kurash under the auspices of the International Military Sports Council (CISM). Furthermore, it was noted that this competition plays a crucial role in further popularizing Kurash among military athletes from CISM member states, strengthening international military sports cooperation, and enhancing the prestige of our national sport.
Discussions during the meeting thoroughly covered organizing the competition at a high level, the state of readiness of the Olympic City sports complex, transport and logistics issues, security measures, guest reception, and organizational aspects related to handling delegations.
Additionally, relevant tasks were set to further increase the number of participating countries and athletes, coordinate international registration processes, and strengthen cooperation with CISM national delegations.
It should be noted that the 1st CISM World Military Kurash Challenge will take place on September 10–15, 2026, in Tashkent.

📍Tashkent, Uzbekistán.- Se celebró una reunión en la sede de la Asociación Internacional de Kurash dedicada a la preparación del 1er Desafío Mundial Militar de Kurash del CISM, que tendrá lugar en septiembre de 2026 en Tashkent.
❗️A la reunión asistieron Muhammad Reza Nassiri, secretario general de la Asociación Internacional de Kurash; Mansur Mamadaminov, jefe del Departamento de Deportes del Ministerio de Defensa de la República de Uzbekistán; Bakhtiyor Kadirov, Primer vicepresidente de la Federación Uzbeka de Kurash; y Sardorbek Karimov, Asistente del presidente.
🎙Durante la reunión se destacó especialmente que esta prestigiosa competición se organiza por primera vez en la historia del Kurash bajo los auspicios del Consejo Internacional de Deportes Militares (CISM). Además, se destacó que esta competición desempeña un papel crucial en la popularización del Kurash entre los atletas militares de los estados miembros del CISM, fortaleciendo la cooperación deportiva militar internacional y realzando el prestigio de nuestro deporte nacional.
🔵Durante la reunión se abordaron en detalle la organización de la competición a un alto nivel, el estado de preparación del complejo deportivo de la Ciudad Olímpica, cuestiones de transporte y logística, medidas de seguridad, recepción de invitados y aspectos organizativos relacionados con la gestión de las delegaciones.
📌Asimismo, se establecieron tareas relevantes para aumentar el número de países y atletas participantes, coordinar los procesos de inscripción internacional y fortalecer la cooperación con las delegaciones nacionales del CISM.
Cabe mencionar que el 1.er Campeonato Mundial Militar de Kurash del CISM se celebrará del 10 al 15 de septiembre de 2026 en Tashkent.
