KURASH PANAMERICANO INTERNACIONALIZADO EN 2023.
Santo Domingo, República Dominicana. – Los logros del Kurash Panamericano formarán parte perenne de la historia de esta disciplina en toda América y a nivel mundial en base a los resultados en este 2023.
La realización del Kurash World Series Pro (WSP) el pasado 27 de agosto 2023 en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana dio inicio a una serie de eventos dentro de la Semana Panamericana del Kurash del 22 al 29 de agosto, que llevarían a nuestros atletas a los primeros planos competitivos a nivel mundial.
En la oportunidad seis (6) atletas de República Dominicana, tres (3) de México, dos (2) de Costa Rica, uno (1) de Haití e igual cantidad de Colombia y Estados Unidos conformo la totalidad de los ganadores.
La Semana Panamericana del Kurash sirvió para la realización de Seminarios en Arbitraje y Entrenamiento, así mismo, los Campeonatos Panamericanos y el Torneo Internacional de Kurash de Playa con la participación de representantes de quince países de toda América con la colaboración del International Kurash Institute (IKI) cuyo rector lo es el ciudadano uzbeco Habibulla Tadyiev y el soporte de la International Kurash Association (IKA) que es presidida por el kuwaiti Haider Farman.
Estas actividades fueron organizadas por la Federación Dominicana de Kurash, Fedokurash, que está presidida por el doctor Israel Caraballo Jiménez con el aval de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash (UPK).
La Semana Panamericana del Kurash sirvió para la realización de Seminarios en Arbitraje y Entrenamiento, así mismo, los Campeonatos Panamericanos y el Torneo Internacional de Kurash de Playa con la participación de representantes de quince países de toda América con la colaboración del International Kurash Institute (IKI) cuyo rector lo es el ciudadano uzbeco Habibulla Tadyiev y el soporte de la International Kurash Association (IKA) que es presidida por el kuwaiti Haider Farman.
Estas actividades fueron organizadas por la Federación Dominicana de Kurash, Fedokurash, que está presidida por el doctor Israel Caraballo Jiménez con el aval de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash (UPK).
Esto permitió que esos catorce (14) atletas con el apoyo del Comité Organizador participaran en la Gran Final del Kurash World Series Pro (WSP) realizado en Tashkent, República de Uzbekistán con resultados notorios en las manos de Audrey Puello (Republica Dominicana), medalla de plata; Tomás Belén (Republica Dominicana) con presea de bronce al igual que José Ángel Gómez (México)
Luego de esta Gran Final la delegación de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash (UPK) se trasladó a Ashgabat, República de Turkmenistán donde se realizaron los XIV Campeonatos Mundiales con el resultado positivo de lograr una medalla de oro y Campeonato Mundial en las manos de la dominicana Audrey Puello Pérez compitiendo en la categoría abierta.
Es la primera vez que América logro importantes resultados tanto en el World Series Pro (WSP) como en Campeonatos Mundiales Senior tanto en la rama femenina como en la masculina.
En el marco de estos Campeonatos Mundiales se realizó un Seminario de Entrenamiento donde tres (3) personas fueron los primeros certificados por América correspondiendo a Luis Bogantes (Costa Rica), Andrea Guillen y Diego Patiño, estos dos últimos de México.
De igual manera las delegaciones americanas estuvieron presentes en el Congreso Ordinario de la International Kurash Association donde el ingeniero Jaime Casanova Martinez fue reelegido a unanimidad como presidente de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash (UPK).
Es la primera vez que América logro importantes resultados tanto en el World Series Pro (WSP) como en Campeonatos Mundiales Senior tanto en la rama femenina como en la masculina.

Si significativos fueron esos logros medallisticos también durante todo el año las Federaciones Nacionales realizaron diferentes actividades con cursos de capacitación en Arbitraje y Entrenamiento, torneos nacionales, participaciones internacionales, reuniones, en fin, todo lo que marca el desarrollo de esta disciplina en América.
Los países que tuvieron una marcada actividad con diferentes e importantes eventos fueron República Dominicana, Nicaragua, México, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Panamá, Chile, Brasil, entre otros.
Las actividades de capacitación estuvieron a cargo de los directores técnicos de Grados, Arbitraje y Tecnología que desempeñan Ulrick Louis-Charles (Haití), Alquimedes Ortiz Cruz (Republica Dominicana) y Luis Bogantes (Costa Rica), respectivamente.
Este 2023 la Dirección de Tecnología presentó el programa oficial de inscripción, sorteo, manejo de competencias y resultados estadísticos lo que es un paso muy significativo en el desarrollo del Kurash Panamericano.
Ahora el Comité Ejecutivo de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash cuyos principales ejecutivos lo son Jaime Casanova Martínez, Elizabeth Thompson y Julián Abreu Jiménez quienes son presidente, vicepresidente y secretario general, respectivamente; prepara un Programa de Actividades para todo el 2024 el que en breve va a ser presentado a las Federaciones Nacionales.

Santo Domingo Dominican Republic.– The achievements of the Panamerican Kurash will be a perennial part of the history of this discipline throughout America and worldwide based on the results in 2023.
The holding of the Kurash World Series Pro (WSP) on August 27, 2023 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic began a series of events within the Panamerican Kurash Week from August 22 to 29, which would take our athletes to the globally competitive close-ups.
On this occasion, six (6) athletes from the Dominican Republic, three (3) from Mexico, two (2) from Costa Rica, one (1) from Haiti and the same number from Colombia and the United States made up all of the winners.
The Panamerican Kurash Week served to hold Refereeing and Training Seminars, as well as the Panamerican Championships and the International Beach Kurash Tournament with the participation of representatives from fifteen countries from all over America with the collaboration of the International Kurash Institute (IKI) whose rector is the Uzbek citizen Habibulla Tadyiev and the support of the International Kurash Association (IKA) which is chaired by the Kuwaiti Haider Farman.
These activities were organized by the Dominican Kurash Federation, Fedokurash, which is chaired by Dr. Israel Caraballo Jiménez with the endorsement of the Panamerican Kurash Union (UPK).
