Acting President of the International Kurash Association, Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov, held an online meeting with the President of the Pan American Kurash Union, Jaime Casanova. During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of Kurash in the Pan American region, preparations for continental and world-level competitions, as well as the expansion of international cooperation.

During the meeting, the progress of preparations for the Pan American Kurash Championships and the World Senior Kurash Championships was reviewed. The parties exchanged views on organising the competitions at the highest level and ensuring the active participation of countries across the region.

Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov emphasised the importance of establishing cooperation with the organizers of the Caribbean Games in order to further promote Kurash in the Caribbean countries. He also recommended that the Pan American Kurash Union undertake the necessary organisational measures to hold meetings with Caribbean Games officials and invite them to attend the Pan American Kurash Championships.

In turn, Jaime Casanova stated that he would present a summary of his proposals and initiatives aimed at developing Kurash across the Pan American continent to the leadership of the International Kurash Association.

The online meeting was attended by Mohammad Reza Nassiri, General Secretary of the International Kurash Association; Mansur Mirzaev, Head of the IKA Administration; Umid Yakubov, IKA Advisor; Khabibulla Tadjiev, Rector of the International Kurash Institute (IKI); and IKA staff members.

El presidente interino de la Asociación Internacional de Kurash, Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov, sostuvo una reunión virtual con el presidente de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash, Jaime Casanova. Durante la reunión, ambas partes abordaron el desarrollo del Kurash en la región panamericana, los preparativos para las competiciones continentales y mundiales, así como la expansión de la cooperación internacional.

Durante la reunión, se revisó el progreso de los preparativos para el Campeonato Panamericano de Kurash y el Campeonato Mundial Senior de Kurash. Las partes intercambiaron opiniones sobre la organización de las competiciones al más alto nivel y la garantía de la participación activa de los países de la región.

Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov enfatizó la importancia de establecer cooperación con los organizadores de los Juegos del Caribe para promover aún más el Kurash en los países caribeños. Asimismo, recomendó que la Unión Panamericana de Kurash tome las medidas organizativas necesarias para celebrar reuniones con funcionarios de los Juegos del Caribe e invitarlos a asistir al Campeonato Panamericano de Kurash.

Por su parte, Jaime Casanova declaró que presentaría un resumen de sus propuestas e iniciativas para el desarrollo del Kurash en todo el continente panamericano a la directiva de la Asociación Internacional de Kurash (IKA).

A la reunión virtual asistieron Mohammad Reza Nassiri, Secretario General de la Asociación Internacional de Kurash; Mansur Mirzaev, Jefe de Administración de la IKA; Umid Yakubov, Asesor de la IKA; Khabibulla Tadjiev, Rector del Instituto Internacional de Kurash (IKI); y miembros del personal de la IKA.
