Union Panamericana de Kurash Anuncia los
Campeonatos Panamericanos 2025
Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.- Los XXII Campeonatos Panamericanos de Kurash en infantil, juvenil y senior; femeninos y masculinos, fueron anunciados por la Union Panamericana de Kurash (UPK) a realizarse en la ciudad de Santo Domingo de la Republica Dominicana del 11 al 17 de junio 2025.
Para tomar la decision de la indicada sede el Comite Ejecutivo acepto la recomendacion de los Directores Tecnicos de Arbitraje, Grados y Tecnologia la que le fue transmitida a la International Kurash Association (IKA) por intermedio de su secretario general el señor Reza Nassiri.
La tambien llamada Semana Panamericana del Kurash tendra dentro de su programacion seminarios y cursos de arbitraje, entrenamiento, sistemas de grados, reuniones y congresos, ademas, el tradicional torneo internacional de kurash playa como ha sido una tradicion en este tipo de eventos.
La organizacion del evento esta a cargo de la Federacion Dominicana de Kurash, Fedokurash, con el aval de la Union Panamericana de Kurash y la supervision de la International Kurash Association como organismo rector de esa ancestral disciplina que ya cuenta con mas de 3500 años de existencia y cuyo origen es la Republica de Uzbekistan en el Asia Central.
En la oportunidad se estara compitiendo en 48, 52, 57, 63, 70, 78, 87 y mas de 87 kilogramos en femenino y 60, 66, 73, 81, 90, 100, 120 y mas de 120 kilogramos en masculino en edades de 18 a 35 años.
En la oportunidad estaran compitiendo las delegaciones de Chile, Brasil, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Republica Dominicana, Haiti, Cuba, Honduras, Mexico, Jamaica y Estados Unidos, entre otras.
El Comite Ejecutivo de la Union Panamericana de Kurash esta compuesto por Jaime Casanova Martinez, Elizabeth Thompson Fantuzzi y Julian Abreu Jimenez en sus calidades de presidente, vicepresidente y secretario general, respectivamente, quienes con los directores tecnicos los señores Luis Bogantes (Tenologia), Ulrick Louis-Charles (Sistema de Grados) y Alquimedes Ortiz Cruz (Arbitraje), trabajan afanosamente para la realizacion exitosa de los XXII Campeonatos Panamericanos dentro de las actividades de la Semana Panamericana del Kurash.

Panamerican Kurash Union Announces the
2025 Panamerican Championships
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- The XXII Panamerican Kurash Championships in children, youth and senior; women and men, were announced by the Panamerican Kurash Union (UPK) to be held in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from June 11 to 17, 2025.
In order to make the decision of the indicated venue, the Executive Committee accepted the recommendation of the Technical Directors of Arbitration, Grades and Technology, which was transmitted to the International Kurash Association (IKA) through its general secretary, Mr. Reza Nassiri.
The so-called Panamerican Kurash Week will have within its programming seminars and courses on arbitration, training, grade systems, meetings and congresses, in addition to the traditional international beach kurash tournament as has been a tradition in this type of events.
The event is organized by the Dominican Kurash Federation, Fedokurash, with the endorsement of the Panamerican Kurash Union and the supervision of the International Kurash Association as the governing body of this ancient discipline that has been in existence for more than 3,500 years and whose origin is the Republic of Uzbekistan in Central Asia.
On this occasion, competitions will be held in the 48, 52, 57, 63, 70, 78, 87 and over 87 kilograms categories for women and 60, 66, 73, 81, 90, 100, 120 and over 120 kilograms categories for men, from 18 to 35 years of age.

On this occasion, the delegations from Chile, Brazil, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, Honduras, Mexico, Jamaica and the United States, among others, will be competing.
The Executive Committee of the Panamerican Kurash Union is composed of Jaime Casanova Martinez, Elizabeth Thompson Fantuzzi and Julian Abreu Jimenez in their capacities as president, vice president and general secretary, respectively, who with the technical directors Mr. Luis Bogantes (Technology), Mr. Ulrick Louis-Charles (Grading System) and Mr. Alquimedes Ortiz Cruz (Refereeing), work diligently for the successful realization of the XXII Panamerican Championships within the activities of the Panamerican Kurash Week.
