Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.- En esta significativa fecha a nivel mundial la Unión Panamericana de Kurash dedica este Dia Internacional de la Mujer a las atletas mas destacadas de panamerica que participaron en la Gran Final del World Series Pro (WSP) y los XIV Campeonatos Mundiales Senior, femenino y masculino, actividades realizados en Tashkent, Uzbekistán y Ashgabat, Turkmenistán, respectivamente.
Juana Morban (Dominicana)
La dedicación es mas significativa dado que la dominicana Audrey Puello logro la medalla de plata en el World Series Pro el 22 de noviembre en Tashkent y medalla de oro en el Campeonato Mundial de Ashgabat el 28 de noviembre 2023, siendo la primera atleta de América en lograr una relevante posición en un certamen mundial de la disciplina.
Estos logros significativos le valieron para ser declarada con la Atleta Femenina de Kurash del año 2023
Por otro lado tuvimos, además, las participaciones destacadas en esos eventos mundialistas con Juana Morban (Republica Dominicana), Edlene Mondely (Haití), Dannely Jiménez (Colombia), Daniela Delgado (Costa Rica) y Andrea Guillen (México).
La mujer en el kurash ha escalado amplios peldaños en esta ancestral disciplina con mas de 3500 años de existencia, que es oriunda de Uzbekistán y que inicio su vida

institucional el 6 de septiembre 1998 siendo sumamente popular en toda el Asia Central y que se expande a nivel mundial en los cinco contenientes y mas de 130 paises bajo la sombrilla de la International Kurash Association (IKA).
El Dia Internacional de la Mujer tiene un significado especial desde que la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas instituyo esa fecha en 1975 como homenaje a las 129 mujeres que murieron calcinadas por un

incendio intencional de los dueños de Cotton Textile Factory al momento de ellas reclamar reivindicaciones laborales que les eran negadas a principios del siglo XX.
Hoy día la mujer ha escalado diferentes peldaños a nivel social sin importar la raza, religión, preferencias políticas o sexuales, entre otras, con su integración a los diferentes y variados estamentos a nivel internacional.
Por esto y mucho mas esta Unión Panamericana de Kurash y sus Federaciones Nacionales afiliadas como lo son Chile, Brasil, Uruguay,

These significant achievements earned her to be declared the Kurash Female Athlete of the year 2023.

The woman in the kurash has climbed broad steps in this ancient discipline with more than 3,500 years of existence, which is native to Uzbekistan and which began its institutional life on September 6, 1998, being extremely popular throughout Central Asia and expanding to worldwide in the five continents and more than 130 countries under the umbrella of the International Kurash Association (IKA).
