Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.- La Semana Internacional del Kurash 2023 ha sido fechada del 8 al 15 de junio en esta ciudad antillana la que tendrá diferentes escenarios que van desde afrodisíacas playas hasta escenarios de competiciones de nivel mundial, exposiciones de pinturas y una amplia programación cultural rica en el folclore caribeño.
Y es que la Unión Panamericana de Kurash (UPK) ha elegido esta metrópoli para la realización de Seminarios de Arbitraje, Entrenamiento y Sistemas de Grado, Campeonatos Panamericanos, Torneo Internacional de Playa y Concursos de Pintura, entre otras actividades en las fechas ya indicadas.
Un Comité Organizador ya labora en los temas de alojamiento, alimentación, transporte, acreditaciones, seguridad, recepciones, premiación, entre otros aspectos, siempre bajo las normativas de la International Kurash Association.
Para la fecha se espera la participación de delegaciones representativas de Chile, Uruguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela, Colombia, Haití, República Dominicana, Costa Rica, Panamá, Guatemala y Estados Unidos, entre otras, donde atletas infantiles, juveniles y senior veran accion, tanto en femenino como en masculino.
Este 2023 regirán nuevas reglamentaciones para la participación de los atletas, entrenadores y árbitros de acuerdo a las normativas recientemente aprobadas por la reunión del Comité Ejecutivo de la International Kurash Association realizada en Dubai los días 10 y 11 de enero.
La República Dominicana se ha convertido en un importante centro de desarrollo del Kurash en América y cabe destacar que en el pasado 2022 dos importantes eventos fueron realizados contándose entre ellos los realizados los del 3 al 9 de junio y del 8 al 15 de diciembre con seminarios de arbitraje, entrenamiento y sistema de grados, así mismo, campeonatos panamericanos en las versiones sobre tapiz y playa y concurso panamericano de pintura bajo el tema Kurash.
La realización de estos eventos tienen el soporte y colaboración efectiva de la International Kurash Association (IKA) cuyo presidente lo es Haider Farman y del International Kurash Institute (IKI) entidad que tiene como rector a Khabibulla Tadjiev.
El Comité Ejecutivo de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash esta compuesto por Jaime Casanova, presidente (República Dominicana); Elizabeth Thompson, vicepresidente (Chile); Julian Abreu Jimenez, secretario general (Estados Unidos) y los directores técnicos en Sistema de Grados el profesor Ulrick Charles-Louis de Haití, Alquimedes Ortiz de la República Dominicana en Arbitraje y Luis Bogantes de Costa Rica en Tecnología.

An Organizing Committee already works on the issues of accommodation, food, transportation, accreditations, security, receptions, awards, among other aspects, always under the regulations of the International Kurash Association.
To date, the participation of representative delegations from Chile, Uruguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela, Colombia, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala and the United States, among others, is expected, where infantile, youth and senior athletes will see action, both female and male.
This 2023 will govern new regulations for the participation of athletes, coaches and referees according to the regulations recently approved by the meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Kurash Association held in Dubai on January 10 and 11.
The Dominican Republic has become an important center for the development of Kurash in America and it should be noted that in the past 2022 two important events were held, including those held from June 3 to 9 and from December 8 to 15 with seminars. of arbitration, training and grading system, likewise, Panamerican Championships in the versions on tapestry and beach and Panamerican painting contest under the Kurash theme.
