EL NUEVO DIARIO, BOCA CHICA.- La disciplina de kurash continuará con sus pasos trascendentes en busca de tomar participación en los Juegos Deportivos Centroamericanos del 2026, evento programado para celebrarse en República Dominicana.
Este hecho se desprende de lo informado este viernes por Reza Nassiri, director técnico de la International Kurash Association (IKA) en el sentido de que a más tardar el próximo año la gran mayoría de las federaciones deportivas de Kurash localizadas en América serán dotadas de Gilam (área de competencia), así como de las indumentarias requeridas para competir en estas pruebas.
“Esto es algo importante que queremos anunciar y es un hecho que fortalecerá a toda la familia del Kurash en América”, expresó Nassiri, tras una participación vía zoom en la apertura del seminario de arbitraje, jornada que dio inicio a toda una semana de kurash en Dominicana.
Sostuvo que el principal objetivo de la Internacional Kurash es que las federaciones deportivas de América también continúen su gran avance en este deporte, tal como ocurre en los países asiáticos en los que el Kurash sobresale por la cantidad de atletas que lo practican y la frecuencia con la que realizan sus eventos.
Estas palabras de Nassiri fueron muy bien ponderadas por el ingeniero Jaime Casanova, presidente de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash (UPK) y vicepresidente de la Internacional Kurash Association (IKA), así como por la cantidad de árbitros y atletas que desde el viernes toman el primero de los dos seminarios, cuya jornada incluye además un campeonato panamericano infantil, juvenil, senior a efectuarse este domingo en el Pabellón de Karate del Centro Olímpico y otro de playa, que será el lunes en la tarde en Boca Chica.
Al iniciar el curso, Casanova agradeció a todas las naciones de América que viajaron para formar parte de estos eventos, así como al amplio grupo de dominicanos insertado en el mismo y quienes vinieron de las 15 asociaciones de kurash en Dominicana.
Explicó lo que será todo el programa a desarrollar en los diferentes eventos y lo importante que es para esta disciplina la realización del mismo.
Mientras que Habibula Tadjiev, rector internacional de Kurash Institute, externó que continuarán brindando todo el soporte para que las naciones de América realicen con mayores frecuencia eventos de esta disciplina.
En el seminario de arbitraje participaran atletas y árbitros de Chile, Venezuela, Haití, Panamá, Costa Rica, Estados Unidos, Uruguay, Nicaragua, Dominicana entre otros.
Ellos recibieron de parte de Kim Edur las diferentes formas y técnicas que deben implementar los árbitros en la realización de los combates de este deportes. Estos fueron realizados en prácticos y teóricos.
Entre los ejecutivos de kurash estuvo Louis Charles, de la Federación Haitiana de Kurash , así como Arquímedes Ortiz, vicepresidente de la Federación Dominicana de Kurash y arbitro internacional.
