Kurash Costa Rica presente en el acto de inauguración del
Parque Recreativo San Roque
San Jose, Costa Rica.- El Presidente de Costa Rica, Rodrigo Chavez Robles, inauguró el Centro Recreativo Cultural y Deportivo San Roque en Turrujal de Acosta con la presencia de un numeroso publico y autoridades diversas.La ceremonia de inauguración se llevó a cabo este viernes 11 de julio del centro que brindará espacios para la Feria del Agricultor, los ensayos de la Banda Municipal de Acosta y diferentes practicas deportivas dentro de las que se incluye la disciplina del kurash lo que permitira transmitir los valores de compañerismo, tenacidad, honradez, entre otros, como un legado
de este deporte que tiene mas de 3500 años de existencia y que cada dia mas eleva su nivel de aceptacion en esta nacion.La Banda Municipal de Acosta, la que estuvo en el desfile de Las Rosas (Rose Parade), tambien conocido como Torneo de las Rosas de Pasadena, California, fue parte del evento para deleite del publico presente.
parte Jordy Ulloa, con medalla de bronce.A su llegada a las instalaciones el Presidente de la Republica de Costa Rica saludo y converso con el profesor Edgardo Mora quien es vicepresidente de Kurash Costa Rica en presencia del ingeniero Luis Bogantes, presidente de la entidad que agrupa a los practicantes de esa disciplina de origen uzbeko.
El Centro Cultural, Recreativo y Deportivo San Roque es una obra que beneficiará a la
comunidad de Acosta, ofreciendo un nuevo espacio para diferentes actividades comunitarias.
La inauguración se realizó en el marco de una semana de celebraciones en el Canton Acosta que conto con eventos importantes para la comunidad, marcando un hito en el desarrollo
El Grupo de Artes Marciales San Luis Acosta realizó una destacada presentación de Kurash, durante el acto inaugural del Parque Recreativo San Roque para deleite de los presentes y con la presencia presidencial.
En la actividad estuvieron presentes varias distinguidas personalidades contandose entre ellas Nelson Umaña, alcalde de Acosta y la vicealcaldesa Tania Granados; Pilar Cisneros, diputada; Angela Mata, Ministra de Vivienda y Urbanismo; Jorge Rodriguez, Ministro de Cultura y Monica Taylor, Presidente Ejecutivo Caja de Seguro Social, entre otros.
«Fue un momento lleno de disciplina, respeto y orgullo por nuestras tradiciones y por el deporte en sentido general», dijo el profesor Edgardo Mora el finalizar de exhibicion de kurash.
«Kurash Costa Rica agradece esta invitacion a la vez que reitera el compromiso en la formacion integral de niños, jovenes y adultos con la enseñanza de las artes marciales», asi fue la expresion del ingeniero Luis Bogantes al finalizar la actividad.

Kurash Costa Rica Present at the Inauguration of the
San Roque Recreational Park
San Jose, Costa Rica – Costa Rican President Rodrigo Chavez Robles inaugurated the San Roque Recreational, Cultural, and Sports Center in Turrujal de Acosta, in the presence of a large audience and various authorities.
The inauguration ceremony took place this Friday, July 11th, at the center, which will provide space for the Farmers’ Fair, rehearsals for the Acosta Municipal Band, and various sports activities, including kurash, which will transmit the values of camaraderie, tenacity, and honesty, among others, as a legacy of this sport that has existed for more than 3,500 years and is increasingly gaining acceptance in this nation.
The Acosta Municipal Band, which participated in the Rose Parade, also known as the Tournament of Roses in Pasadena, California, was part of the event to the delight of the audience.
On June 14th, the Costa Rican delegation attended the Men’s and Women’s Pan American Kurashmi Championships. Alejandra Fallas and Daniela Delgado won two gold medals, while Allan Rodriguez and Henry Abarca received silver medals, and Jordy Ulloa won a bronze medal.
The inauguration, which was attended by the President of the Republic, who was visiting the canton of Acosta, was broadcast live on the country’s presidential Facebook page.
Upon his arrival at the facilities, the President of the Republic of Costa Rica greeted and spoke with Professor Edgardo Mora, Vice President of Kurash Costa Rica, in the presence of Engineer Luis Bogantes, President of the organization that brings together practitioners of this Uzbek-origin discipline.
The San Roque Cultural, Recreational, and Sports Center is a project that will benefit the Acosta community, offering a new space for various community activities.
The inauguration took place during a week of celebrations in the Acosta Canton, which included important events for the community, marking a milestone in development.
The San Luis Acosta Martial Arts Group gave an outstanding Kurash presentation during the opening ceremony of the San Roque Recreational Park, to the delight of those present and in the presence of the President.
Several distinguished figures were present at the event, including Nelson Umaña, Mayor of
Acosta, and Vice Mayor Tania Granados; Pilar Cisneros, Representative; Angela Mata, Minister of Housing and Urban Development; Jorge Rodriguez, Minister of Culture, and Monica Taylor, Executive President of the Social Security Fund, among others.
«It was a moment filled with discipline, respect, and pride in our traditions and in sports in general,» said Professor Edgardo Mora at the end of the kurash exhibition.
«Kurash Costa Rica appreciates this invitation and reiterates its commitment to the comprehensive education of children, youth, and adults through the teaching of martial arts,» said Engineer Luis Bogantes at the end of the activity.
