Los Los V Juegos Mundiales de Nómadas se celebrarán del 8 al 14 de septiembre de 2024 en la Astana, que en idioma kazajo significa literalmente “Ciudad Capiltal”. Se celebrarán competiciones de 20 tipos diferentes de deportes y 10 de demostración. Incluyen carreras de caballos, varios tipos de lucha regionales, juegos intelectuales tradicionales, artes marciales, tiro con arco tradicional, diferentes tipos de cetrería, juegos folclóricos, así como espectáculos de exhibición de deportes étnicos. Participan alrededor de 100 países y más de 3.000 deportistas.

World Nomad Games es un evento nuevo que ha llevado la personalidad de los pueblos de Asia Central a la vanguardia de los medios mundiales. Los deportes nómadas, los juegos de inteligencia, las demostraciones de fuerza y la teatralidad pura se exhiben en un festival que ha sido bautizado como «Olimpiadas para nómadas».

En 2014, se celebraron los primeros World Nomad Games en Cholpon Ata, en las costas de Issyk Kul, el segundo lago salino más grande del mundo. Kirguistán reunió la atención mundial y el éxito del evento fue inmenso.

Dos años más tarde, el II World Nomad Games se celebró una vez más en Cholpon Ata, atrayendo a 1200 competidores de más de 62 naciones y siendo transmitido en todo el mundo a más de 800 millones de espectadores.

Los III Juegos Mundiales de Nómadasse celebraron del 2 al 8 de septiembre de 2018 en Kirgyzstán, a orillas del lago Issyk-Kul. En 36 tipos de deportes, participaron 80 países y 3000 deportistas.

Los IV Juegos Mundiales de Nómadasse celebraron del 29 de septiembre al 2 de octubre de 2022 en Bursa-Turquía. En 40 tipos de deportes donde participaron 1020 países y más de 3000 deportistas.

The most spectacular sporting event in Central Asia is back this year!
The V World Nomad Games will be held from 8 to 14 September 2024 in Astana, which literally means “Capital City” in Kazakh. Competitions in 20 different types of sports and 10 demonstration sports will be held.
They include horse racing, various types of regional wrestling, traditional intellectual games, martial arts, traditional archery, different types of falconry, folk games, as well as ethnic sports exhibition shows.
About 100 countries and more than 3,000 athletes are taking part. World Nomad Games is a new event that has brought the personality of the peoples of Central Asia to the forefront of global media.
Nomadic sports, brain games, displays of strength and pure theatricality are on display at a festival that has been dubbed the “Olympics for Nomads.”
