El presidente de Uzbekistán, Mirziyoyyev, firmó decreto para para el desarrollo del kurash a nivel mundial, para la inclusion en los juegos olimpicos 2028
Se ha adoptado un decreto presidencial sobre medidas para desarrollar y mejorar aún más la popularidad del kurash (deporte de lucha nacional de Uzbekistán).
El decreto aprobó el concepto de aumentar la popularidad del deporte para 2025.
El objetivo principal del concepto es garantizar que el kurash esté incluido oficialmente en los Juegos Continentales Africanos, Panamericanos y Europeos y sea reconocido por el Comité Olímpico Internacional. Asimismo, está previsto crear todas las condiciones necesarias para su inclusión en el programa de los Juegos Olímpicos Internacionales antes de 2028.
A partir de este año, el concurso de kurash republicano anual “Uzbek Polvoni” se llevará a cabo entre empleados de organismos, instituciones y organizaciones estatales, y a partir de 2021, una vez cada 2 años, el concurso internacional de kurash entre estudiantes universitarios en los centros regionales, Nukus y Tashkent.
A partir del año académico 2021/2022, se prevé duplicar los parámetros actuales de la orden estatal de admisión para estudiar en la dirección de «kurash» en la Universidad Estatal de Cultura Física y Deportes de Uzbekistán, internados especializados de la reserva olímpica, Escuelas especializadas en deportes infantiles y juveniles.
El Kurash se incluirá gradualmente en el programa de entrenamiento físico para el personal de las Fuerzas Armadas y las fuerzas del orden como deportes prioritarios.
Según la lista de direcciones aprobada en 2021-2025, en los centros regionales, Nukus y Tashkent, se abrirán gradualmente escuelas de dominio del kurash.

Starting this year, the annual republican kurash contest “Uzbek Polvoni” will be held among employees of state agencies, institutions and organizations, and from 2021, once every 2 years, the international kurash contest among university students in the regional centers, Nukus and Tashkent.
Starting from the academic year 2021/2022, it is planned to double the current parameters of the state order of admission to study in the direction of «kurash» at the State University of Physical Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan, specialized boarding schools of the Olympic reserve, Schools specialized in children’s and youth sports.
Kurash will be gradually included in the physical training program for Armed Forces and law enforcement personnel as priority sports.
According to the list of addresses approved in 2021-2025, in the regional centers, Nukus and Tashkent, schools of mastery of kurash will be gradually opened.
