Realizan Reunión del Comité Ejecutivo de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash / Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Panamerican Kurash Union.

Boca Chica, República Dominicana.- En el marco de la Semana Panamericana del Kurash desarrollada en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana del 22 al 29 de agosto 2023, se realizó la reunión del Comité Ejecutivo de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash (UPK).

Al encuentro asistieron los señores Jaime Casanova Martinez, Elizabeth Thompson y Julian Abreu Jimenez en sus respectivas condiciones de presidente, vicepresidenta y secretario general.

También fueron invitados los directores técnicos los señores Luis Enrique Bogantes, Alquimedes Ortiz y Ulrick Charles-Louis quienes obedecen a la áreas de tecnología, arbitraje y sistema de grados.

Luego de establecido el correspondiente quorum el presidente dio por abierta la reunión tratándose temas como el calendario de actividades 2024, evaluación de las actividades organizativas y su desarrollo de la Semana Panamericana del Kurash, requerimientos de uniformes y equipamiento a la International Kurash Association (IKA), afiliación de nuevos miembros, elaboración de un nuevo estatuto acorde con la modernidad actual, entre otros temas donde hicieron intervenciones los los presentes.

Finalizada la reunión los miembros del Comité Ejecutivo de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash posaron para la foto de familia del organismo rector de esta ancestral disciplina en toda América.

Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Panamerican Kurash Union

Boca Chica, Dominican Republic.- Within the framework of the Panamerican Kurash Week held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from August 22 to 29, 2023, the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Panamerican Kurash Union (UPK) was held.
The meeting was attended by Jaime Casanova Martínez, Elizabeth Thompson and Julián Abreu Jiménez in their respective capacities as president, vice president and general secretary.
Also invited were the technical directors, Mr. Luis Enrique Bogantes, Mr. Alquimedes Ortiz and Mr. Ulrick Charles-Louis, who work in the areas of technology, refereeing and the grading system.
After establishing the corresponding quorum, the president opened the meeting, discussing issues such as the 2024 calendar of activities, evaluation of the organizational activities and their development of the Panamerican Kurash Week, uniform and equipment requirements for the International Kurash Association (IKA), affiliation of new members, elaboration of a new statute in accordance with current modernity, among other topics where those present made interventions.
After the meeting, the members of the Executive Committee of the Pan-American Kurash Union posed for the family photo of the governing body of this ancient discipline throughout the Americas.
