Panamerican Kurash Union will attend, with different national delegations, the XIV International Kurash Tournament of the Termiz city for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Award.

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. – The delegations of Argentina, Haiti, Dominican Republic and Venezuela confirmed their participation in the XIV International Kurash Tournament of the Termiz city in the Republic of Uzbekistan in option to the President of the Republic Award.

The activity is dated from October 4to 7 where the participation of more than 50 countries from Asia, Africa, Europe and America is expected, which is being organized by the Uzbekistan Kurash Federation with the endorsement of the International Kurash Association (IKA ).

In the senior men’s category the competition will be in the open weight division, more than 220 pounds, for which a prize of 10,000 dollars is reserved for the first place, 5,000 for the second and 3,500 for each of the two third place and 2000 for the four that finish in fourth place.

In youth, masculine in 55, 60, 66, 73, 81, 90 and more than 100 kilograms and ladies in 48, 57, 70 and more than 78 kilograms the first places will receive prizes of 3,000 thousand dollars, 2000 for the second and 1000 at two third place in each weight division.
It is orderly to indicate that Uzbekistan is the Motherland of the Kurash since this discipline was born in that country of Central Asia 3,500 years ago, making it the most popular sport in this nation.

The delegations are headed by Pablo Saul Cosentino, Ulrick Louis-Charles, Jesse Díaz and Marcos Reyes Torres representing Argentina, Haiti, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic, respectively.

Jaime Casanova Martinez will also attend as president of the Panamerican Kurash Union and in turn vice president of the Executive Committee of the International Kurash Association (IKA).
