Unión Panamericana de Kurash en el segundo lugar por continentes en los Campeonatos Mundiales.
Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.- La Unión Panamericana de Kurash se posiciono con el segundo lugar en la clasificación general por continentes y tercero por países de los pasados XIV Campeonatos Mundiales realizados en la capital de Turkmenistán, Ashgabat del 23 al 28 de noviembre 2023.
De las 15 preseas de oro en disputa en estas competiciones al continente asiático le correspondieron 14 unidades doradas y a panamerica una en las manos de la peleadora dominicana Audrey Puello Perez.
En justa mundialista la República de Uzbekistán logró siete preseas doradas, Turkmenistán cinco, Vietnam y Kazakstán una por país.
Las medallas de plata se repartieron en Turkmenistán con seis, Irán cinco, Kazakstán dos y una para Uzbekistán y Taipei.
Las importantes medallas de bronce recayeron en Irán con seis, Turkmenistán y Tayikistán con cuatro cada una, tres para Kazakstán, dos para Tapei y una para Uzbekistán, Vietnam, Kirguistán, Indonesia, Turquía, Egipto, Korea y Georgia.
Estos XIV Campeonatos Mundiales de Kurash, femenino y masculino, de realizaron en Ashgabat, capital de Turkmenistán los días 27 y 28 de noviembre 2023 organizados por la International Kurash Association (IKA) que preside el ciudadano kuwaiti Haider Faman.
Es la primera vez que la Unión Panamericana de Kurash que preside el dominicano Jaime Casanova Martinez se coloca en la tabla posiciones de una justa mundialista y así mismo lo hizo en el World Series Pro (WSP) realizado en Tashkent, capital de Uzbekistán donde Audrey Puello (dominicana) logro la medalla de plata en los mas de 87 kilogramos, Tomas Belen (dominicano) con bronce en los 81 kilogramos y Jose Ángel Gomez (mexicano) también con bronce en los 90 kilogramos.
Por la Unión Panamericana de Kurash (UPK) participaron atletas representativos de Colombia (1), Costa Rica (2), Mexico (3), Haití (1), República Dominicana (6) y Estados Unidos de Norteamérica (1) para un total de catorce con el apoyo de la International Kurash Association y los Comites organizadores de estas justas mundialistas.
Estos Campeonatos Mundiales tuvieron la presencia de más de 500 atletas representado a una suma superior a 40 países de Asia, Europa, África y América.
La figura mas sobresaliente en estos Campeonatos por América es la destaca atleta Audrey Puello Perez al lograr medalla de oro en los Campeonatos Mundiales y la de plata en el World Series Pro (WSP).

Panmerican Kurash Union in second place by continents at the World Championships.
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- The Panamerican Kurash Union placed second in the general classification by continents and third by countries of the last XIV World Championships held in the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat from November 23 to 28, 2023.
Of the 15 gold medals in dispute in these competitions, the Asian continent received 14 gold units and Pan America received one in the hands of the Dominican fighter Audrey Puello Perez.
In the World Cup, the Republic of Uzbekistan won seven gold medals, Turkmenistan five, Vietnam and Kazakhstan one per country.
The silver medals were distributed in Turkmenistan with six, Iran five, Kazakhstan two and one each for Uzbekistan and Taipei.
The important bronze medals went to Iran with six, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan with four each, three for Kazakhstan, two for Tapei and one each for Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia, Turkey, Egypt, Korea and Georgia.
